Oxide Dispersion Strengthened Material

Oxide dispersion strengthened material is a new ultra-high temperature alloy, which differs from conventional ones in terms of alloy design and manufacturing process. The nanometer (~30nm) oxide particles with high thermal stability are evenly dispersed (spacing ~100nm) in Ni, Fe, Cu and Al-based alloy substrates by metal alloying to reach a high temperature strengthening phrase, instead of losing the strengthening function caused by coarsening or dissolving under high temperature (over 1000℃) as that of the conventional high temperature alloy. The strengthening effect of nanometer particles can be maintained close to the melting point of the alloy, making it the best material to be used in the aerospace and civil fields under ultra-high temperature ranging from 1000~1400℃.

Fe-based ODS alloy CERM301:as the best sheet high temperature alloy concerning combination property, CERM301 not only has extraordinary high temperature durability, far more than the conventional one, but tops all other similar alloys in terms of high temperature oxidation resistance, carbon and sulfur corrosion resistance. Besides, it has excellent thermal structure stability, low thermal expansion coefficient, and good cold, hot and machining performance. Therefore, CERM301 becomes the key material for the lining and nozzle of main combustion chamber and afterburner of advanced aeroengines, and it is also widely used in high temperature corrosive environments in the field of petrochemicals, energy and power, industrial furnaces, nuclear reactors and glass products, with temperature resistance up to 1350℃, and even 1400℃ in a short period. To be more specific, it can be used in flame stabilizer for combustion chamber of thermal power boiler; flame baffle for industrial gas turbine combustor; coal water slurry or heavy oil nozzle for coal gasification or oil gasification system gasifier in chemical fertilizer or power industry; diesel fuel nozzle; industrial heating furnace fixture , furnace tubes, rollers, slide rails, webbing, racks, supports, and even heat generating bodies themselves; plunger rods and shaft bushings, etc., which are resistant to molten glass corrosion in the manufacture of glass products; heat exchangers for high-temperature gas-cooled reactors and thermocouple protection sleeves in various hot, corrosive environments.

Ni-based ODS alloy CERM405:as the first massively produced and also the most used ODS alloy, CERM405 has outstanding high temperature durability (better than conventional casting axialite and directional solidification high temperature alloy), high melting point, low modulus of elasticity, good resistance to thermal fatigue, oxidation, heat and corrosion. It has been widely used in guide blades and rear blade rings of advanced aeroengines and other high temperature parts.
